Allan Drew
Allan lives in New Zealand. He has a Master of Creative Writing from the University of Auckland, and a PhD in English and Creative Writing from Victoria University of Wellington.
His PhD project involved writing a novel fictionalizing John Milton writing Paradise Lost. You can read more about his thesis and the International Institute of Modern Letters at VUW here.
Allan teaches Academic Writing, Communications and Creative Writing at Massey University.
Allan's short stories and poems have appeared in a number of literary journals and magazines across New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK, and his work has won or been shortlisted in several international and national writing competitions. Some of his work is available to read online and in print, and you can read about his awards and prizes here.
Allan is a fiction reader for Overland journal, and part of the editorial team of Headland, where he curates the online content.
